Ongoing & Future IDEA Work 

The Town of Truckee is dedicated to ensuring that our services, programs, and information are accessible to all community members, residents, staff, and visitors alike. Our IDEA program is designed to create an inclusive, welcoming, and supportive environment where everyone feels valued and respected. Through our commitment to Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility, we are building a stronger, more cohesive community.

The Town's future initiatives involve developing IDEA guiding tools such as the Language Access Plan and the Community Engagement Framework, among many other actions that you can review in the IDEA Action Plan (PDF).

Get Involved

We encourage everyone to participate in the IDEA program and share feedback on how this work can continue to grow and improve. There are several ways to stay connected and participate, including workshops, events, surveys, and direct engagement with IDEA staff. 

The best ways to hear about opportunities to get involved and stay informed about what is happening overall are our bilingual WhatsApp group and Talk from the Town, our monthly newsletter.
