At the May 27 Town Council meeting, the Town of Truckee proudly presented two proclamations celebrating the upcoming Truckee Day and recognizing the 2025 Truckee Day Hall of Fame recipient.
What is Truckee Day?
Truckee Day is our town’s annual litter clean-up and civic pride event, happening every first Saturday in June—this year on Saturday, June 7, 2025. Now in its 22nd year, the event brings neighbors together to pick up roadside litter, get to know one another, and kick off the summer season.
How to Participate
Community members are encouraged to sign up online through the Keep Truckee Green website. Participants will meet at neighborhood check-in stations between 8 a.m. – 10 a.m. to receive supplies and a road assignment. Participants will collect litter from 9 a.m. to noon along Truckee streets and trails in designated orange bags.
Afterwards, join the block party and Community Expo at Truckee River Regional Park, starting at noon, featuring a BBQ hosted by the Truckee Optimists and fun for all ages. Plus, ride your bike and enjoy the free bike valet as part of Truckee Bike Month!
Honoring a Community Hero
This year, the Truckee Day Hall of Fame Award goes to Annaliese Miller, a longtime Truckee resident and dedicated volunteer. Annaliese has contributed nearly two decades of design work and planning support to Truckee Day and continues to champion the Glenshire check-in station each year. Her passion and generosity embody the spirit of the event.
Join us in celebrating Truckee, pitching in to keep our town clean and green, and recognizing the incredible people who make it all happen!
