[ARCHIVED] BCycle E-Bike Share Program Returns

An electric bike parked with fall leaves in the background.

We are excited to announce that the BCycle E-Bike Share Program has returned, and you will start to see docking stations and bikes all around town. You can hop on the app and see where some have already landed!

The BCycle E-Bike Share Program is a town-wide pedal assist electric bike share program served by a variety of conveniently located stations where locals, visitors, and commuters can rent bikes to meet their daily travel needs. It launched last June and the season totalled over 3200 rides, 20,000 miles ridden and 19,000 lbs of carbon offset. We are hopeful to build of these first-year successes and want to encourage our community to try this mobility option when planning their outings.

BCycle and our Transit team were able to collaborate this winter and identify the best positions for docking stations so that our community can get the most out of this program.

How the Program Works

  • Download the BCycle app
  • Choose the pass type which works best for you.
  • Create your user account.
  • Get directions to the closest available bike.
  • Unlock the bike and head on your way!

Don’t forget your helmet, be mindful of cars and trail-users around you and enjoy the ride!
