At the February 25th Truckee Town Council meeting, the council discussed proposed amendments to the Development Code and Zoning Map to align with the 2040 General Plan. The updates included the creation of two new Mixed-Use Zoning Districts, renaming existing zoning districts, and making clean-up amendments to the General Plan Land Use Diagram and Roadway Noise Contours Diagram.
Key discussion points included:
• Residential requirements in the new Corridor Mixed-Use (CMU) zone
• Revising the proposed Neighborhood Mixed-Use (NMU) zone by creating separate residential (-R) and commercial (-C) designations
• Addressing minimum commercial space requirements
