The Town of Truckee is introducing Afternoon Planner Appointments to provide another opportunity for community members to connect with Planning staff. The Town has heard that members of our community are interested in more access to our planners, to help answer questions, provide guidance, etc. This was direct feedback heard as a result of our operational assessments and reviews. The Town is listening and are excited to announce that starting May 19th, Truckee planners will be available for free, one-on-one appointments Monday through Thursday from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm to answer questions and provide guidance on planning and zoning matters.
Residents, business owners, and property developers can schedule 15-minute phone calls for quick questions or 30-minute virtual or in-person meetings for more in-depth discussions. Topics may include assistance with application submittals, building permit pre-reviews, new business guidance, and other planning-related inquiries.
Appointments must be booked at least 48 hours in advance and can be scheduled up to two weeks ahead. To ensure the most productive meeting, any plans or documents for review should be emailed in advance to PlanningDivision@townoftruckee.gov.
For those who need immediate assistance or have general questions, the morning on-call planner service remains available, and messages will be returned within one business day.
