A REGIONAL PARTNERSHIP FOR ACHIEVABLE HOUSING
Description
The goal of this project is to streamline efforts toward the development of affordable and workforce housing by improving access to a more efficient and less expensive permitting process, thereby increasing the achievability of housing construction in the Town of Truckee, Nevada County, Sierra County, Placer County, the City of Grass Valley, and the City of Nevada City.
How to Obtain a Building Permit for an ADU using the Master Plans
Please note: We are currently finalizing the application submittal process and requirements for the ADU Master Plans, so check back here on September 5, 2023, for details.
The cost to use the pre-approved construction plans, including site-specific Title 24 Energy Calculations, will be $1,200; however, there will be other application submittal requirements/documents that the homeowner will be responsible for obtaining/funding, including, but not limited to, a property survey, site plan, grading/drainage plan, erosion prevention plan, geotechnical report or waiver, foundation plan depending on slopes, engineered solar panel plan, landscape plan or exemption, etc. If the property is on a private well or a septic system, approval from the Nevada County Environmental Health Department
