Our team is strengthening the Town's data centers by moving to a more centralized and automatic backup system that is also immutable, meaning once data is saved, it cannot be changed or erased. This new system is designed to lower the burden of maintenance, improve security, and maintain data accuracy even during disasters or cyber-attacks. We've introduced resilient measures to automatically redirect data processes with little human input, ensuring operations can continue smoothly and quickly after an incident. Additionally, this method enhances the overall safety, duplication of data for backup, and stability of our network systems.

Privileged Access & Credential Management Enhancement

We're updating our systems to better manage the special access required by our partners and vendors. Our improvements include highly secure storage for sensitive information, more precise control over who can access what, and automated systems for giving or taking away access rights. We're also closely watching for any unusual access patterns or actions and keeping detailed records of all access, which helps with investigations and meeting regulatory standards. Furthermore, we've introduced multi-factor authentication and encrypted connections to add layers of security for privileged activities.

Endpoint Detection, Response, & Identity Monitoring Enhancement

Our cybersecurity upgrades focus on advanced threat detection and real-time identity monitoring to protect against new threats and ensure that user identities are secure. We're using state-of-the-art machine learning tools to quickly identify harmful actions on devices and automated systems for immediate threat resolution. We are revamping our end-user training with a new Learning Management System that provides interactive cybersecurity education, tailored to each user's risk profile.
