STR Waitlist Application Fee
$100 non-refundable deposit will be due at the time of waitlist application submission.
STR Registration Fee
When a Registration becomes available the Waitlist Applicant will be notified to register for a transient occupancy registration certificate for which the applicant will have 30 days to register their property as an STR.
The remaining registration fee balance is $328, starting November 1, 2025.
STR Annual Renewal Fees
Once registered as a Short-Term Rental you are required to renew annully to maintain an active registration certificate. The annual renewal period is from November 1st to December 31st.
The short-term rental registration renewal fee is $428 per calendar year, starting November 1, 2025. This amount is charged when the applicant submits their registration renewal online. The fees are based on the expected staffing and operation resources needed to run and enforce the program.
Payment Reminders:
- Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- You may pay by ACH with no charge.

Hosted Rental Registration Fee

Hosted Rental Registration Renewals
Hosted Rental Registrations will be required to renew every three years. Registrations will expire on the third March 31st after initial registration.

Violations of the Short-Term Rental Ordinance are subject to administrative citations. Any person found to be violation of the ordinance, including guests, operators, and designated contact persons may be subject to fines. The owner shall be deemed responsible for all violations occurring at the short-term rental or hosted rental in connection with its operation.
Short-Term Rental Penalties/Fines:
- First Administrative Citation: Fine not to exceed $1,500 per day for each violation or violations.
- Second Administrative Citation: Fine not to exceed $3,000 per day for each violation or violations within one year.
- Subsequent Administrative Citations: Fine not to exceed $5,000 per day for each violation or violations within one year.
The administrative fine for the operation of any transient rental without a valid short-term rental transient occupancy registration certificate shall be:
- First Administrative Citation: Fine shall be $500.
- Second and Subsequent Administrative Citations: The fine structure listed above will then be enforced.
Should three administrative citations be issued within a one year time period and not overturned on appeal the registration certificate will be revoked. A new certificate will not be issued and you will be unable to sign-up for the waitlist for a year from the date of certificate revocation.
Hosted Rental Penalties/Fines:
- First Administrative Citation: Fine not to exceed $500 per day for each violation or violations.
- Second Administrative Citation: Fine not to exceed $1,000 per day for each violation or violations within one year.
- Subsequent Administrative Citations: Fine not to exceed $1,500 per day for each violation or violations within one year of the first violation.
The Town may deny, suspend, or revoke a transient occupancy certificate for any of the following reasons:
- Incomplete, false, or misleading application.
- Violation of any local, state, or federal laws, statutes, ordinances, rules, or regulations pertaining to the operation of short-term rental.
- Delinquent on any Transient Occupancy Taxes due to the Town.
- The operation is a threat to the public health, safety or welfare.
- Lack of a fire inspection within three years, a failed fire inspection, or refusal to allow a fire inspection.
Any operator or guest may appeal a penalty, denial, suspension, or revocation by filing a notice of appeal with the tax administrator within 21 calendar days of the mailing of the notice.
