Public transportation plays a critical role in the region. To guide future transit improvements, the Nevada County Transportation Commission (NCTC) retained LSC Transportation Consultants, Inc. to update the 2017 Transit Development Plan for Eastern Nevada County. The Town of Truckee is supporting this effort and providing a platform to share information and gather input from the community.
What is a Transit Development Plan (TDP)?
A Transit Development Plan is a five-year strategic plan that:
Establishes a clear roadmap for transit services, funding, and investments over the next five years.
Engages the community and key stakeholders through interviews, outreach, and public workshops to understand local needs and priorities.
Recommends service improvements to make transit more effective, efficient, and responsive to the region’s growing mobility needs.
